Assessments & Behaviour Interventions (ABi) is a leading not-for-profit organisation that provides family focused intervention programs that are effective and affordable for young children with a disability and their families.
ABi delivers programs with a strong focus on quality and best practice that are tailored to suit individual family needs and priorites to achieve real outcomes. We empower families with knowledge and strategies to support their child's learning and development across all environments to allow them to reach their full potential.
ABi programs are founded on the evidence-based principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). ABA is the process of using behavioural principles to create practical and socially significant change. Using ABA, we recognise and build upon your child's skills to enhance their learning and development whilst identifying and reducing the behaviours that interfere with learning.
It's that time of the year again! ABi is proud to be participating in GroovABILITY Festival in 2013.
GroovABILITY Festival will be held at Burwood Park, Burwood on Thursday, 5th December, from 10am to 3pm, to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of International Day of People with Disability. Learn more about ABi's services and philosophies as well as speak to some of our consultants about the best ways ABi may be able to help your child. There will be a free BBQ, activities and entertainment to support and promote an understanding of people with a disability within the community. (see more)
Is your child progressing to Kindergarten or Year 1? Are they struggling with the transition to school?
ABi's School Readiness Group will run for two hours per day, across three days during the January 2014 school holidays. The group is aimed at children who will be attending kindergarten or year 1 at a mainstream school or support class and require some extra help with essential social and play skills. (see more)
