Welcome to Assessments & Behaviour Interventions

Assessments & Behaviour Interventions (ABi) is a leading not-for-profit organisation that provides family focused intervention programs that are effective and affordable for young children with a disability and their families.

ABi delivers programs with a strong focus on quality and best practice that are tailored to suit individual family needs and priorities to achieve real outcomes. We empower families with knowledge and strategies to support their child's learning and development across all environments to allow them to reach their full potential.

ABi programs are founded on the evidence-based principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). ABA is the process of using behavioural principles to create practical and socially significant change. Using ABA, we recognise and build upon your child's skills to enhance their learning and development whilst identifying and reducing the behaviours that interfere with learning.

Autism Awareness Survey
Posted 22nd August 2014

The NDIS launch sites are already up and running in cities across the country. Whilst it's been a long time coming, it's finally here, and we as a community must stand together to ensure that the Scheme finally meets the needs of our children - who have gone without for so long.

So far, results in the NDIS launch sites are still seeing very limited funding for important things like early intervention and meaningful support for school age children. We think its time we started asking the right people, the right questions...

As such, Autism Awareness Australia is launching their first national survey of parents and carers of children and young adults on the autism spectrum. It's imperative to get a clearer picture of what autism support services look like in Australia and identify the gaps that currently exist in helping families provide better care, education and support for their loved ones with Autism.

As many families as possible are needed to be part of this national initiative and we encourage you to share the survey with all your networks. The survey will be open until Friday, 12th September 2014 and takes less than 10 minutes to fill out.

Click here to complete the survey.

Results will be published on Autism Awareness in early October 2014.

Let's work together as a community to get this right!

Donate to ABi's Winter Appeal
Posted 25th June 2014

Did you know that one in 100 people in Australia has an autism spectrum disorder?

Did you know that over 4 million Australians have a disability? That is 1 in 5 people.

Did you know that effective early intervention programs such as ABi are a vital first step for children with an autism spectrum disorder and those with other diagnosed developmental disabilities?

It’s only five days until the end of the financial year, which is just enough time to donate to our winter appeal and claim it in this year’s tax return. Please click here to donate now!

You will be doing more than just gaining a potential tax benefit — you will be helping many children access their first steps for achieving their potential and empowering their families living with the challenges of disabilities.
