ABI NSW Services

ABI now offers a range of private services to individuals with autism and related disorders and their families.

ABI’s private services are flexible, family focused and based on up-to-date research on effective treatments for individuals with disabilities. All programs have a strong focus on training and education in the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis and Positive Behaviour Support practices. All programs are completely individualised and can target challenging behaviour, communication skills, play skills, social skills, preschool and school skills, independent living skills, community access and academics.

Footprints Follow On Program 20 hour program	This program is available to families who have already completed the Footprints program or for families who wish to tackle challenging behaviour or work on a specific skill area (e.g. toilet training or peer play dates) For children between 0-18 years of age Two options available: 20 hours of service delivery over a 10 week period (weekly model) 20 hours of service delivery over a 20 week period (fortnightly model) You may be required to attend ABI's 3 hour home based theory training workshop Cost: $3200 (inclusive of travel) @ $180/hr	HCWA/Private	Home based
Consultation services	ABI offers consultation services to families who want 1-3 sessions at their home to specifically tackle behavioural issues. Sessions can also be used to provide support in a pre-school or school environment. For children between 0-18 years of age Maximum of 3 sessions only! School Support Program	This program caters for children aged 4-7 years who are transitioning to school or for children who are already at school and require additional support. Comprehensive school skills assessment 20 hours of service delivery over a 10 week period (weekly model) or 20 week period (fortnightly model) Targeting communication skills, literacy and numeracy skills, independent work, following instructions, playground skills and behaviour management Cost: Home based: $3600 (inclusive of travel) @ $180/hr Centre based: $3000 @ $150/hr (please note there will be additional charages for school, pre-school or home based sessions @ $180/hr)	HCWA/Private	Home/Centre based

School Readiness Groups	These group sessions are run for children attending kindergarten and for children aged 4-6 years who are transitioning to school. Groups are organised with a minimum of 4 children and 2 consultants facilitate each group session. Groups are designed and delivered by Special Educators, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Behaviour Support Educators and Teachers. The program is centre based. Speech Pathology	ABI’s Speech Pathology sessions are a minimum of one hour and can be either home or clinic based. Literacy Program “Making Up for Lost Time in Literacy” MULTILIT	ABI provides a literacy program to children aged 5 and above who are struggling with early literacy skills and reading. The program includes teaching phonics, sight words, one to one supported reading, spelling and comprehension. Sessions are 1.5 hours and held at the ABI clinic Parents are trained in the strategies used so they can provide additional practice at home Cost: Literacy assessment and MULTILIT placement test (if applicable): $350 On-going sessions: $100/hr Compulsory overlap sessions with ABI's Special Educators/Accredited MULTILIT practitioner charged at additional $180/hr Speech Pathologist consultation is an additional $150/hr	HCWA/Private	Centre based
ABI’s Lead Therapist	ABI can provide families, upon request, with a lead therapist for sessions at home, school, pre-school or the ABI clinic. ABI’s lead therapist provides additional practice on the goals established by ABI’s Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Behaviour Support Educators. 5, 10, 15, and 20 week packages are available. Psychology	ABI's Psychology sessions are a minimum of one hour and are centre based. Assessments available include: cognitive, developmental, academic achievement, diagnostic assessments of autism or anxiety. Assessments are not available under Better Start. Assessments and sessions are clinic based. Home visits are available but at the clinican's discretion. BeS program	7 weeks BeS Programs are designed to work on a specific target area for a client and a maximum of three goals within that target area. For children between 0-18 years of age Wk 1: 3 hour assessment (initial interview and observations) Wk 2: 2 hour implementation and practical training Wk 3/4/5/6: 1.5 hour implementation sessions Wk 7: Exit sessions with exit interview Exit summary with recommendations provided within two weeks of finishing. ABI Life Skills Program	This program targets a broad range of daily living skills including: communication, socialisation, home living skills, community access, pre-academics, and self-help. The program is home and cross-setting based and runs for 20-25 weeks (offering weekly therapy sessions of 90-120 minutes, an intervention plan and individualised goals). ABI Community Access	This program targets anxiety/behavioural difficulties that limit a child and family's access to the community including: medical treatment (hospital visits, post-surgery rehabilitation, Botox injections - Botulinum toxin); education; social settings (play groups, parks, zoo); hairdressers; travel (getting in and out of the car, travelling safely). The program is cross-setting and runs for 10 weeks (offering families parent training, weekly therapy sessions/community visits of 90-120 minutes, an intervention plan and individualised goals). ABI Transition to School	This program targets skills important to transition to school including: group participation, table top tasks, self-help skills.
